JOHOR BARU - A billboard of self-proclaimed Chinese millionaire Zhang Jian is up again at the branch office of the multi-level marketing (MLM) in Taman Sutera Utama, Skudai.
The billboard was earlier dismantled on Wednesday after the branch office received a compound letter by the Johor Baru Central Municipal Council (MPJBT).
A check by The Star at the premises yesterday found that it had been erected again at the facade of the three-storey shop office building at 86B Jalan Sutera Tanjung 8/3.
Several businessmen interviewed at the area said the billboard was put up on Saturday.
"We will send our enforcement officers to the office today and order the company to remove the billboard," MPJB enforcement head Capt (rtd) Nur Mohd Shahril Abdullah said.
He said the company was not allowed to put up the billboard as the permit to put up the signboard was only given for Lot 86A, not Lot 86B, where the MLM office is located.
He said legal action could be taken against the owner of the premises and MPJBT would seal the place for operating without licence.
Personnel from the state Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry raided the branch office on Thursday and seized items such as cookware, travel bags, T-shirts, canned drinks, magazines and bunting.
