The body of a baby still smelt fresh even after being discovered in a waste bin, reported Harian Metro.
"The body smelled fragrant even though it was covered in garbage. I immediately contacted the police to inform them of the find," said a condominium security guard, who only wanted to be known as Santa.
The luxury condominium is located at Taman Melati in Gombak.
Santa, who is in his 40s, said some residents of the luxury condominium in Taman Melati, Gombak, informed him about the body when they went to dispose of their garbage at about 9.30am Tuesday.
"Strangely, I did not smell any stench. Instead, the body of the newborn had a nice smell," he said.
"I suspect it's the work of outsiders. I doubt that the residents here would do such a thing as only well-off people live here," said Santa.
Acting OCPD for Wangsa Maju DSP Asmadi Abdul Aziz said police were trying to track down the parents and urged those with information to contact the Wangsa Maju district police headquarters.
The case is being investigated under Section 318 of the Penal Code for concealment of birth and baby dumping.
