Boy, 3, falls to his death after climbing on stacked boxes

BUTTERWORTH - A young couple lost their three-year-old son after he fell to his death from their ninth floor apartment in Teluk Air Tawar.

Muhammad Adam Qhalish Hairul Anuar died on the spot after suffering from severe head injuries.

He was said to have climbed up a stack of boxes in his room before falling from the window at about 11am yesterday.

The boy's father was working at the Royal Malaysia Air Force base in Teluk Air Tawar while his mother and younger sister were in another room when the incident happened.

A neighbour who found the body sprawled in a pool of blood immediately alerted the mother.

North Seberang Prai OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Rahman Ibrahim said police received a distress call at about 11.30am.

The boy's parents were too ­distraught to speak to the press.
