KUALA LUMPUR - The 66-year-old victim of road rage has died on Monday evening after being in a coma for a week.
Taxi driver Hiew Chen Guang died at 2.55pm at the University Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre (UKMMC).
His 33-year-old daughter informed her other siblings and relatives to visit Hiew after being told by a nurse that his condition was not optimistic.
However, the Hiew family had already prepared for the worst after his condition deteriorated.
City CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Ku Chin Wah said that the case is being investigated for murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
He has urged witnesses to come forward with information on the incident.
On Sept 30, Hiew collided with a motorcyclist in Old Klang Road around 7am.
As he was driving further to look for a proper place to stop his taxi, a man allegedly dragged him out of the vehicle and assaulted him.
