NIBONG TEBAL: Police believe they have solved several house break-in cases in south Seberang Prai district following the arrest of two men and a woman in their early 20s.
South Seberang Prai OCPD Supt Wan Hassan Wan Ahmad said all three tested positive for meth and the men had criminal records.
"We also recovered the loot from them," he said, adding that the trio were arrested on Saturday.
Supt Wan Hassan said that on the same day, a family reported their home in Taman Nuri was broken into after they returned from their holiday in Thailand.
"The robbery could have occurred between March 18 and March 21. The family reported losses of RM20,000 (S$7480).
"We believe the same suspects were in-volved in another house break-in case in Sungai Duri based on the loot we recovered from them," he said at the district headquarters yesterday.
Supt Wan Hassan added that they also arrested another woman who had sold off the stolen items at a pawn shop.
The case is being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code for house break-in and theft.
