PETALING JAYA - A performing group is using their carolling this year and also selling teddy bears to raise funds for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan.

The group, the D' Flaming Reindeers, recently visited The Star's office to spread the holiday spirit and to sell the teddy bears which cost RM15 each.

The money collected will be used to help three orphanages in the Philippines.

The group began their preparation in October and now performs twice a week at corporate and media offices with instrumental music and acoustic singing.

Group members are from different professions and are aged between 20 and 50.

Team leader Lydia Mae Hendroff said: "When we visit the media and our clients, we bring with us the message of love, hope and charity to reach out to everyone through our positive action and we hope they feel it too."
