PETALING JAYA - A centralised enforcement team will soon swing into action to curb rampant clearing that is jeopardising Cameron Highlands, said Datuk Seri G. Palanivel.
The Cameron Highlands MP told The Star that there were "just a few more details" to be ironed out before the team began work.
"The team had its first meeting in Kuantan last month. They have not gone into full action yet but are working out the mechanics," said Palanivel, who is Natural Resources and Environment Minister.
He said the Centralised Enforcement Team formed in October comprised officers from the ministry, the Pahang Government and the Cameron Highlands district office.
