SHAH ALAM - The church in Taman Medan can reinstall the cross that was removed, Selangor Mentri Besar Azmin Ali said.

"We have to respect the different faiths of everyone in Selangor," said Azmin, adding that action must be taken against those who were responsible for what had happened on Sunday.

"Why were they (the church) forced to remove the cross? The cross is the sacred symbol of the Christian community," he said.

The protest was led by Datuk Abdullah Abu Bakar, the elder brother of the Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.
