Cop caught in underwear sent for mental evaluation

ALOR SETAR: The 32-year-old police inspector caught wearing just his underpants in a women's washroom in a shopping mall here on Monday has been sent for mental evaluation.

State police chief Commissioner Datuk Asri Yusoff added that at the time of arrest, the police officer was under the influence of drugs.

"We are investigating what happened and what prompted him to do so," said Comm Asri.

"From the time of his arrest, the officer has not spoken a word.

"He has now been sent for a mental evaluation," he said when contacted Wednesday.

On Monday, a commotion took place at a shopping mall here at about 12.30am and a police team was quickly despatched to the location.

The team found a police inspector clad in his underpants inside a women's toilet.
