JOHOR BARU - Two women were among three suspects arrested in raids which led to the discovery of a drug laboratory and the seizure of drugs worth almost half a million ringgit.
Police raided a house in Taman Pelangi here at around 12.05am on Tuesday and detained a man and woman, said Johor police chief Senior Deputy Comm Datuk Rusli Ahmad.
Inside the premises, police found 766.45g of ecstasy powder, 1.18kg of white powder believed to be drugs and equipment used by the suspects to process drugs.
The team then detained a Vietnamese woman at Taman Century believed to be a member of this drug syndicate.
One hour later, another house, in Taman Bayu Puteri here, was stormed by police, where officers seized 270 ecstasy pills, 830.85gm of ecstasy powder and 736.9gm of white powder believed to be drugs.
Four Malaysian men were arrested there, said SDCP Rusli at a press conference at the state police headquarters here yesterday
Of the seven arrested, three tested positive for drugs. One also had six drug and criminal cases against him. They were aged between 24 and 36.
