My neighbour is a businessman. He has been openly burning huge joss sticks and joss paper for a stretch of 10 days. The strong winds often blow the smoke and ashes towards my house. I can't even dry my clothes outside and I am tired of washing my cars. If it is one or two days, perhaps I can tolerate it but this has been going on practically every month.
I feel like reporting this to the Department of Environment or the local authorities but I'm afraid no action will be taken as it would be considered a religious and sensitive matter. I've heard of such cases in the Klang Valley where the victimised neighbour was forced to move out for health reasons.
Then there was another case where the victim confronted the neighbour politely but got scolded with vulgar words. I guess most people do not like to be told off. What should I do? - Desperate Victim
