Disembodied voice scares female workers out of 'haunted house'

MALAYSIA - A group of female workers moved out of a single-storey house in Butterworth after hearing a weird voice every night since one of their housemates died in an accident, China Press reported.

One of the workers claimed that they heard someone knocking on the door but no one was outside when they opened it.

"Sometimes we can hear as if someone is walking along the corridor or flushing the toilet but there was no one there," she said.

Another worker claimed that she often dreamt of a female spirit urging them to transfer (the spirit's) savings to her family in Indonesia.

The workers moved out recently as none of them dared to stay in the house any longer.

Later, three female staff from the same company, who did not believe the story, moved in. They left the house at mid-night on the third day.

A property agent had requested a temple medium to carry out a ritual to "ask the spirit to leave" on Oct 3.

Then he arranged eight workers to move in on that night but all of them moved out the next morning.
