Early holiday season payout for Malaysian pensioners

PETALING JAYA - With Christmas fast approaching, the Government has decided that pensioners will receive their monthly pension warrants a week before the holiday.

Public Services Department (PSD) director-general Tan Sri Mohamad Zabidi Zainal said the decision was made to allow pensioners to receive their pension on Dec 18.

Mohamad Zabidi said those issued with pension warrants dated between Dec 19 and Dec 31 including via the banks, would be able to cash their pension beginning Dec 18.
