KUALA LUMPUR - Former model Persana Avril Sollunda, accused of stripping in public, is racing against the midnight deadline to reach Hospital Bahagia in Ipoh or face arrest.
Her brother, Peter, told The Star Online late Friday that he and Persana were waiting for the train to take them to the hospital.
Earlier in the day, magistrate Nur A'minahtul Mardiah had ordered Persana to report to the hospital or she will issue an arrest warrant and forfeit the bail.
She ordered Persana to undergo a month-long psychiatric evaluation under section 342 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
The court will convene on July 2 to evaluate the psychiatric report.
Persana was absent at the Jalan Duta court for the re-mention of her case on Friday morning and was ordered to appear in the court at noon.
The spa employee and part-time model was charged on April 28 with stripping in public after failing to settle a bill of about RM18 (S$6.60) at a chicken rice shop in Petaling Street.
She was charged with committing the lewd act in public after a video of a woman removing her shirt and bra went viral on social media.
She was detained on April 25 following a report on public indecency under section 509 of the Penal Code.
