A DISABLED father of four, who was supporting his family by operating a tea stall, was killed when a tree branch fell on him, Makkal Osai reported.

M. Balakrishnan, 54, was at his roadside stall in Bestari Jaya with his wife on Tuesday.

Around 12.30pm, a large tree branch broke and fell on his head.

Balakrishnan was rushed to the Tanjung Karang Hospital and then transferred to the Sungai Buloh Hospital.

He died at about 7pm the same day.

The family had just moved to their own house in Kampung Sungai Darah, Kuala Selangor.

The husband and wife had been selling tea and soft drinks for more than 10 years.
