Final journey for Malaysian tycoon Yeoh Tiong Lay

KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Yeoh Tiong Lay's funeral cortege left the YTL Residence in Damansara Heights for his final resting place at the Nilai Memorial Park on Sunday.

The funeral procession of the YTL Group of Companies founder began at 1pm, after a service was held at the family's residence.

His eldest son Tan Sri Francis Yeoh, his grandchildren and close friend Datuk Lee Peng Hock delivered their eulogies during the service.

The Yeoh family also donated RM8million (S$2.58 million) to schools and non-governmental organisations.

Yeoh passed away at the age of 88 on Wednesday.

The business magnate is survived by his wife Puan Sri Tan Kai Yong, seven children, 27 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
