PETALING JAYA - The Year of the Goat should be a year Malaysians fight for freedom and justice, says PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

In her Chinese New Year message, she said the goat symbolises uniqueness, justice and peace.

It is a time family members and relatives gather to make the New Year celebration more exciting.

Dr Wan Azizah pointed out that behind the festivities lie great challenges.

"Our country is plagued by worrying economic prospects, race-based politics with a judiciary system's impartiality being questioned," she said in a statement yesterday.

Dr Wan Azizah urged the people to overcome their racial and religious differences and fight together for a better Malaysia.

She represented her husband Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and all PKR leaders in wishing a Happy Chinese New Year 2015.
