A man kicked, beat and threw curry at his wife all because she ticked him off over a long telephone chat with his second wife, said Harian Metro.
According to the paper, the couple were having breakfast at their home in Sungai Besi, Kuala Lumpur, on Saturday when the man's second wife called.
The 35-year-old wife told the man off for being on the phone too long with the other woman.
A source said the husband, in his 30s, then flew into a rage and hurled a bowl of curry at the wife's face, causing her to scream in pain.
"He also kicked her stomach, hit her legs with a stick and punched her face several times," the source added.
The woman then ordered the man out of the house.
"Before he left the house, he threatened not to pay alimony if she lodged a police report," said the source.
The wife, afraid that she might be attacked again, lodged a police report.
