Johor water disruption to affect some 164,000 consumers

JOHOR BARU - Consumers in several parts of Johor Baru have been advised to store sufficient water from July 11 to 13, due to repair work to a damaged main pipe.

SAJ Holdings Sdn Bhd corporate communication chief Jamaluddin Jamil said the 48-hour water disruption would start from 6pm on Saturday and end at 6pm on next Monday, and affect some 164,000 consumers.

He said the pipe located at Jalan Taruka, which supplied water to three main water tanks, was damaged due to on-going land reclamation activities.

Among the areas affected are Taman Sentosa, Taman Kebun The, Taman Perbadanan Islam, Taman Melodies, Taman Suria, Kg Kurnia, Taman Putera, Stulang Baru, Kg Dato Sulaiman Menteri, Setanggi flats, Larkin flats, Larkin Bus Terminal, Jalan Garuda, Jalan Dato Jaafar, Larkin Stadium, Larkin police station, Larkin Fire and Rescue Department, Bistari Impian Condominium, Serantau Baru Flats, Jalan Saksama, Social Security Organisation building, Kg Dato Onn, Puteri Specialist Hospital, Jalan Sentosa-Larkin, Larkin Health Polyclinic, Taman Larkin Perdana, Larkin Idaman, Larkin Jaya, Larkin industrial estate, Jalan Kilang, Jalan Petaling and Kolej YPJ.

The other areas are Taman Sri Bahagia, Taman Damansara Alif, Taman Okid, Persiaran Tanjung Condominium, Amona Condominium, Jalan Persiaran Tanjung, Jalan Tampoi, Jalan Padu, Jalan Kukuk, Jalan Hasil, Tampoi Town, Angsana Mall, Taman Kobena, Taman Tampoi, Taman Desa Rahmat, Wisma Hasil, Bandar Baru Uda, Taman Skudai Kanan, Skudai Kiri, Danga Bay and Kg Usaha Jaya.

Also included Taman Tasek, Taman Kolam Air, Taman Nong Chik, Jalan Straits View, Jalan Paduka, Jalan Tengku Puteri, Hotel Straits View, Hotel MSuite, Kg Mohd Amin, Aloha Condominium, Maktab Sultan Abu Bakar, Courths Mammoth, Jalan Serama, Jalan Yahya Awal, Jalan Abdul Rahman Andak, Jalan Drapper, Jalan Glendening, Jalan Air Molek, Wisma Persekutuan, Jalan Gertak Merah, Jalan Dato Mentri and Johor Baru city centre.
