PETALING JAYA - The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has taken a statement from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak over its probe into SRC International and the RM2.6bil (S$867.5 million) donation.
It said the statement was recorded during a two-and-a-half-hour meeting yesterday.
"The Prime Minister was very cooperative," it said, adding that it would update the public on the progress of the probe from time to time.
On Thursday, MACC officers had met with representatives from the Prime Minister's Office to fix a suitable date and time for the statement to be recorded.
Last week, the MACC had recorded the statements of SRC International director Datuk Suboh Md Yassin and businessman Low Taek Jho as part of its probe into the former 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) subsidiary.
On Nov 20, it had also recorded SRC International managing director Nik Faisal Ariff Kamil's statement.
