PAGOH - Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin urged the people including the Opposition to give credit where it is due to the Prime Minister for his economic transformation programmes that has put Malaysia's development as one of the top nations in the region.
He said that the achievement was not an easy feat, however, the government was not asking for praises but for some recognition from the people and the Opposition.
"If the nation's economy is not managed well, we would face unemployment, no job opportunities and economic slowdown and the Government will be blamed.
"But today our country is not like that. We (the Government) not only manage the country but we give the people what is needed," he said.
Muhyiddin, who is also Umno deputy president and Pagoh Umno division chief, said that in his speech when opening the division's meeting at Kompleks Seri Pekembar here on Saturday.
