A MAN who brazenly kissed an on-duty female officer of the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) was beaten up by passers-by, Harian Metro reported.

The 27-year-old officer was issuing summonses for illegally parked cars in Jalan Gading, Bukit Bintang, with a colleague when the incident happened on Wednesday night.

Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Sukri Kaman said the suspect, 35, was earlier seen loitering near a hotel in the area.

"He then approached the victim and complimented her on her looks.

"The victim told him off and said she was doing her job but he became aggressive and cupped the victim's face with his hands before kissing her," he said.

The paper said members of the public then beat up the man for his inappropriate act.
