Man dies after falling into drain in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR - A 29-year-old man was found dead after falling into a drain near Sri Nilam Apartment, Ampang, here.

Deputy OCPD Supt Nazri Nawawi said police were alerted of the incident at about 9am yesterday.

"The victim has been identified as Mohammad Azlan Hamzah from Mukah, Sarawak. He is believed to have fallen into the 5m-deep drain after climbing a 5m-tall fence.

"He had a severe injury at the back of his head.

"Police are trying to track down the family of the victim. Those who know who the victim was are urged to come forward," he said.

A resident who wished to remain anonymous believed that Moham-mad Azlan was not a resident in the area. The body was sent to the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Hospital for a post-mortem.
