Man dies after falling out of moving car

MALAYSIA - A man has died after falling out of a car when he failed to close the door properly after spitting on the road, reported Harian Metro.

The incident occurred at 10.30pm on Monday near the Sultan Ismail Petra bridge in Kota Baru, Kelantan.

The lecturer and his wife, who was driving the car, were travelling from Tumpat to Machang.

While waiting for the traffic light to turn green, the 34-year-old man opened his car door to spit on the road. He then closed the door.

His wife, who continued driving once the light turned green, was shocked when she saw her husband tumble out when the door on the passenger side suddenly swung open.

His 34-year-old wife immediately stopped the car and pleaded with a motorcyclist to call for an ambulance.

The victim was sent to the Lati hospital in Sungai Mas before being sent to the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital. He was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Further investigations showed that the victim had suffered head injuries.

Police have classified the case as sudden death.
