Man finds would-be thief sleeping under his car

A homeowner in Alor Setar was stunned to find a man, believed to be a thief, sleeping under his car, reported Kosmo!.

Nursyahbandi Abdullah, 30, was about to drive to work at 7.30am on Monday when he found the man.

The Alor Setar municipal council worker said it was a norm for him to inspect his car, parked in front of his house, every morning before leaving for work.

"I was shocked when I saw a man lying under my car and I suspected something was amiss when I saw a pair of scissors hidden in his clothes," he said.

Nursyahbandi immediately called his uncle to help detain the man before calling the police. He suspected the man was trying to break into his house before falling asleep.

Kota Setar district police chief Asst Comm Adzaman Mohd Jan said the suspect - who is from Manjung, Perak, and has a criminal record which included breaking and entering - tested positive for drugs.
