SUBANG JAYA - Firefighters rushed to the aid of a man who was found with a pair of scissors pierced through his neck at a house in USJ 5 here.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director Mohd Sani Harul said six firemen arrived at the scene at around 12.10am Sunday after receiving a distress call about 15 minutes earlier.

"The 35-year-old man was found conscious in the bathroom with the scissors still stuck in his neck.

"He was handed over to medical personnel from the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre for further treatment," Mohd Sani added.

A preliminary report by the fire and rescue department ruled out foul play.
