Man loses finger protecting son from parang-wielding robbers

KLUANG, Malaysia - China Press reported that a man in Kluang lost a finger after he tried to protect his 15-year-old son from parang-wielding robbers. The 47-year-old man had returned home at about 4.30am on Monday when one of the robbers followed him inside.

When the man saw the robber, he tried to fight him off because he was worried that his son, who was asleep in the living room, might be harmed.

As the man's wife shouted for help, another robber rushed in to help his accomplice.

The robbers fled when the neighbours came to the man's aid.
