Man shot dead after leaving temple in Puchong

PETALING JAYA - A 31-year-old man was shot dead as he was leaving a temple at Jalan Bandar 4, Puchong near here.

The victim, identified as A. Ragen, was shot as he was leaving the temple with his mother and nephew together with another relative at about 8pm Friday.

It is learnt that Ragen, who operated his own bridal and florist business, went to pray for his wife who was warded at the hospital as she was expected to deliver their first baby on Saturday.

erdang OCPD Asst Comm Razimi Ahmad said that the assailant was believed to have fired four shots with three hitting Ragen on his leg, chest and head

"We are still investigating the motive of the shooting," he told reporters at the scene.

ACP Razimi said that witnesses who saw the incident were unable to see or identify the assailant as the incident happened so quickly.

He said that police believed that the assailant fled on foot towards the highway.

ACP Razimi added that Ragen's body was sent to the Serdang Hospital for post-mortem.
