IPOH - A 37-year-old mechanic was injured after he was shot by two unknown assailants at a restaurant in Seri Manjung.
He was having drinks with two friends at about 12.30am yesterday, said Perak police chief Senior Deputy Comm Datuk Acyrl Sani Abdullah Sani.
"Two people fired several shots at him before fleeing on a motorcycle. He was injured on his arm and leg.
"He is in stable condition at the Seri Manjung Hospital," he added.
SDC Acryl Sani said the victim was not involved in any gangsterism nor did he have a criminal record.
There was also no evidence that it was linked to a shooting case in Ayer Tawar on Tuesday when a 49-year-old man was shot during a dinner function at the Kutien Hall.
The man suffered injuries to his arm.
