Man's body dragged 100m along Malaysia expressway

A man's body was dragged for more than 100m along the North-South Expressway after a driver said he did not realise the object he ran over was a body.

According to Harian Metro, the driver of a Volkswagen claimed that he did not know the object, which was lying on the right most lane of the highway, was a body.

Hulu Selangor OCPD R. Supramaniam said the motorist aged 33, who was heading to Ipoh, then stopped his vehicle on the emergency lane.

"He was shocked and horrified to find a man's body stuck under his car," he said, adding that the incident took place at about 3am on Saturday.

Supramaniam said the victim, M. Nithian, 29, died on the spot due to his severe injuries.

The body was sent to the Kuala Kubu Baru hospital for a post-mortem.
