PETALING JAYA - Malaysia Airlines' latest inspiring Twitter postings had moved many with its warmth and personal take.
As of yesterday, two tweets were posted by the national carrier under the hashtag #staystrong, in respect to those who lost their lives in the second major disaster for the airline this year.
The first tweet on July 23 read "Tough times do not last, tough people do #staystrong" and featured a photograph of two flight attendants holding hands.
On July 24, a second tweet was posted: "When the going gets tough, the tough get going. #staystrong." Both tweets had over 7,000 retweets and 1,000 favourites combined from Twitter users as of yesterday.
Tweets for family and friends of the victims also continued to make their rounds on Twitter, with many using MAS' message and the #staystrong hashtag.
Users also sent out messages of support to the airline, urging it to persevere through the trying times and that its staff were always in their prayers and thoughts.
Twitter user @malinethiyagu recounted the hospitality shown by MAS staff a few years back.
"Anything for MAS. My leg was fractured a few years back, and I will never forget the hospitality and friendliness of staff at the time. I am always with MAS," she tweeted.
Another user, Dennis Collins, said he would continue to travel with MAS in the future.
"@MAS Have not stopped thinking about the people affected. Going to make sure that I travel with @MAS into the future too. Amazing airline," he said.
MAS also made an effort to reply, saying "thank you for your kind words. It means a lot to us".
