GURUN - Mohd Faris Anuar, who has been identified as one of the two Malaysians seen in an Islamic State (IS) beheading video, has yet to collect the result slip of the SPM examinations, which he had sat for in 2012, according to his school principal Che Noorliati Said.
Mohd Faris, who is the third among six siblings, completed his Form Four and Form Five at the Kolej Vokasional Sungai Petani 1, then known as SM Vokasional Sungai Petani 1.
Che Noorliati said on Thursday that Mohd Faris was issued a school-leaving certificate, but she refused to say whether he had collected it.
She also said that she could not remember much about Mohd Faris as he was not an outstanding student.
The school also refused to reveal Mohd Faris' school activities during his time there.
"If he is still a student, maybe we can look into it. But, since he has left school and we have even issued the school-leaving certificate, he is no longer our responsibility," she added.
Che Noorliati said students discovered that he was a former student when the video clip of the beheading went viral.
