MH17: They brought colour to our lives

The tears, the hugs and the words of comfort. Nothing can really ease the pain and the grief, at least not so soon. Life will never be the same again, and yet life must go on.

We share your grief; we feel your loss. And we hope the time spent together and the memories of those special moments will keep you going in your hour of sorrow.

In this tribute to the passengers and crew of MH17, we want to capture some of these moments that have made this loss felt so deeply by the families and friends.

We remember them for their smiles and their laughter, their quips and their quests, their warmth and their words, and all that was good and all that made them so special.

The colour, the vibrance and the light they brought into the lives of those around them. For sure, they were loved, much loved - and now much missed and always remembered

We owe it to the families and loved ones of these 43 Malaysians, and also the other 255 victims of different nationalities to ensurethat their deaths are not in vain.

In this special pullout to commemorate their "homecoming", we want Malaysians to remember these precious lives lost.

We are united in our prayers for them, and for their family and loved ones.

And even as we grieve, we celebrate the lives that they lived, and remember the joy and colour they brought to us when they were in our midst.
