MH370: Families hold Yasin recital, prayers session

PUTRAJAYA - A group of families of Malaysian passengers aboard MH370 held a Yasin recital and prayer session at The Everly Putrajaya hotel on Tuesday.

The session, organised by Persatuan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Pahang di Ibu Kota, was held at about 10.45am and lasted roughly 30 minutes.

The society's deputy president Datuk Mustaffa Mat Yasin told reporters he organised this for his close friend, Selamat Omar (pic), whose son was on board the ill fated flight.

"Selamat and his family are slowly beginning to accept their loss, painful as it is.

"The prayers will help them find peace and strength to move on with their lives," he added.

Selamat's son, 29 year old aviation engineer Mohd Khairul Amri Selamat, had been headed to Beijing to conduct repair works on a private plane there.
