Missing AirAsia flight: Malaysian on board identified

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian on board missing Indonesia Air Asia flight QZ8501 is believed to be Sii Chung Huei from Sarawak.

According to media reports on Sunday that Sii was supposed to travel with a colleague, but the latter chose to take a different flight.

The flight, carrying 155 passengers and seven crew, lost contact with Indonesian air traffic control at 7.24am Sunday when travelling from Surabaya towards Singapore.

The aircraft was an Airbus A320-200 with the registration number PK-AXC.
