Missing MH370: Information on flight simulator deleted, says Zahid

PUTRAJAYA - Most of the information in the flight simulator belonging to Malaysia Airline (MAS) MH370 pilot Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah has been erased.

Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said a Bukit Aman taskforce already seized the simulator on Saturday but most of the information, including flight paths and landing sites have been erased.

"However, investigators may be able to recover some of the erased date through a detailed forensic investigation.

"Bukit Aman have also engaged experts in such simulators and IT as well as Boeing 777 specialists to assist in the investigation," he told a press conference after attending a meet with civil servants here on Wednesday.

He explained that police were not out to prosecute Capt Zaharie or apply pressure on any family member.

"All actions have been aimed at producing a complete investigation so that we can discover the reason or cause behing the missing plane," he said adding that, police were not ruling out any possibility.
