PETALING JAYA - Facebook was abuzz with news of a 23-year-old model who went missing after allegedly seeing "ghosts" in her condominium.

Her mother, who only wanted to be known as Ong, confirmed that Germaine Ong was safe.

Ong, who declined to elaborate on why her daughter had gone missing, said that it was due to "personal matters".

"She is already here now," she said when contacted on Thursday.

According to a Facebook posting, Germaine went missing after she moved to a condominium she rented.

A posting said the model called her mum on Tuesday night telling her she saw "dirty things" in the condominium.

Another posting alleged that Germaine spoke to the walls in her condominium for the whole day.

"She said that if the next morning she died, which means the 'Ghost' has eaten her," it stated.

Germaine's parents and a friend, known as Melvin, last saw her in Empire Soho at 1pm on Tuesday.

Her car was left parked in the condo but she was believed that she walked out the house without the car.
