A motorist has died after he was beaten up by a group of men following a minor accident in Taman Bukit OUG, Kuala Lumpur, reported China Press.

Zhen Long Jie, 27, from Serdang, died during surgery to remove a blood clot a day after the attack.

On Sunday, at least eight men who are believed to be thugs attacked him after he crashed his car into a road divider at midnight.

The men, who berated Long Jie for driving too fast, beat him up but he managed to phone his younger brother, Long Feng, for help.

The victims lodged a police report but Long Jie did not go to the hospital immediately as he said he was too tired.

When he went to the hospital on Monday, doctors told Long Jie he needed surgery to remove a clot.

However, he succumbed to his injuries on the operating table.

Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Chong Kok Sin said police were investigating the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder and were looking for the suspects.
