PETALING JAYA: The construction work to rebuild the homes of flood victims in Kelantan is unsatisfactory, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
"I feel a lot more can be done at this point. I am actually not very satisfied and I think things can be improved," said Najib in a televised interview on Thursday night.
Approximately 50,000 people were affected in Kelantan by the floods that hit the East Coast in December 2014.
"I hope the co-operation between the Federal Government and state government can be strengthened, especially in land distribution as that is the jurisdiction of the state Government," said Najib.
He said that if the Federal Government had the land and the financial allocation, it " would be ready and we could hand over the new houses".
