Netizens continue to pray for toddler's safe return

KOTA KINABALU - Five days after his disappearance, police are still hunting for three-year-old Low Min You.

Kota Kinabalu city police chief Assist Comm Jauteh Dikun said there has been no calls from anyone claiming to know the whereabouts of the toddler.

"We have no information that can help us find Min You but we are doing all that we can," he said. "Let's continue to pray and hope that he will be found safe and sound soon."

Police were still manning roadblocks at the various entry and exit points in Sabah as part of efforts to find the boy.

Min You went missing at about 5.50am on May 9 when his 31-year-old father Yee Sheng left him inside a car while he went to the toilet at a petrol kiosk at Kampun Air in the state capital.

The vehicle was found several hours later some 2.5km away at Signal Hill but Min You was not in it.

Social media users continued to pray for the safe return of the toddler and hoped the police would find him soon.

They posted their hopes and prayers on a score of Twitter accounts, including @PDRMsia, @BahApaCerita and @MasidiM.

On Facebook, Caroline Sita posted "Dear God please return this boy to his family safely".

Another Facebook user, Pheelo Mina, had a plea for the kidnapper, saying "Please return the child to his parents. Dont make him hungry or suffer".

Dee Hananina posted that Min You was similar to her child and begged whoever had taken the toddler to please return him.
