A group of senior citizens queued up for about 18 hours to register to receive ang pows from a company in Klang, China Press reported.
Even though the organiser had asked senior citizens aged 65 years and above to register for the ang pow on Sunday morning, many of them were spotted queuing up since 2pm on Saturday.
It reported that the organiser had urged the senior citizens to come the next day as the company did not limit the number of ang pows to be given out to those over 65 years old.
However, the senior citizens decided to stay overnight even braving the short spell of rain at night.
The registration went on smoothly the next day and about 1,500 people registered to receive the ang pow.
The ang pow would be given out this Sunday.
