Old woman in Malaysia slapped by seller for asking price of vegetable

A 71-year-old woman was allegedly slapped by a female trader at a market in Taiping, Perak, for asking the price of a vegetable the trader was selling, reported Guang Ming Daily.

Chen Cai Zhi said she went to the stall at about 8am on Sept 6 and found that there was no price tag for the vegetable she wanted to buy.

Asking for the price, she also questioned the trader about not displaying the price tag.

When the trader started scolding her, Chen said she wanted to leave but the woman slapped her and even took away her walking stick to beat her with it.

Chen lodged a police report.
