Pakatan MPs wear black to parliament to protest Anwar imprisonment

KUALA LUMPUR - At the third session of the 13th Parliament, a number of opposition MPs protested the exclusion of Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim by wearing all black.

PKR parliamentary whip chief Datuk Johari Abdul said that Opposition MPs were encouraged to wear all black as a sign of protest against Anwar's imprisonment and the decision not to allow him to attend the session.

He said wearing black was only optional and a collective decision to show solidarity for the Opposition leader.

Among those seen wearing all-black attire were Tony Pua (DAP-Petaling Jaya Utara), Wong Chen (PKR-Kelana Jaya) and Tian Chua (PKR-Batu).

The parliamentary session which opened today, will run until April 9.
