Parang accidentally lodged in man’s head
A dispute over the sale of handphones at a mall got out of hand and ended in a fight involving 11 men armed with parangs and hammers.

A freak accident left a man impaled in the head with a parang that had been dislodged from its handle, reported Berita Harian.

Mohd Ridhuan Mat Tohor, 20, from Kampung Labu, Kuala Tahan, in Jerantut, was clearing bushes when he was impaled by the 30cm-long parang, which was being used by another worker at Felcra Tembiling Tengah.

Still conscious and with the parang lodged in his head, Mohd Ridhuan rode pillion on his friend's motorcycle and sought treatment at the Kuala Tahan health clinic some 2km away.

Doctors found that the parang had penetrated 5cm in the side of his head and he was quickly referred to a hospital in Kuantan for further treatment.
