PETALING JAYA - A PAS meeting next week to discuss Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim's position as Selangor Mentri Besar has been postponed.
PAS secretary-general Datuk Mustafa Ali told Harakah Daily that Sunday's meeting would be moved to Wednesday instead.
"The time and the venue remain unchanged," he said.
Meanwhile, DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang said whether Pakatan Rakyat survived the Mentri Besar crisis depended on the commitment of its leaders to the original aspirations of the Opposition pact.
"If all Pakatan Rakyat leaders, whether DAP, PAS or PKR, continue to be guided by the common policy principles and framework, then Pakatan will forge ahead from strength to strength to replace Barisan Nasional at the 14th general election," he said.
PKR officially backs its president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail to take over from Khalid. However, most of the senior leaders in PAS wanted Khalid to remain at the helm of Selangor.
DAP also wants Khalid replaced.
Khalid himself had said that he would not quit the post.
Many analysts have predicted that the current crisis could lead to the collapse of Pakatan Rakyat.
