PETALING JAYA - A picture of a badly-injured man, claimed to have been beaten during Saturday's fight in Low Yat Plaza was actually that of a robbery victim in Shah Alam.

The image of the bloodied man with a swollen eye and bandages was wrongly attributed to one of the youths alleged to have started a brawl in the shopping mall.

Instead, the image was that of a victim of a robbery in Shah Alam.

"Jangan mengarut. Ni kawan I kena samun semalam dekat dataran Shah Alam pukul 4.30am (Don't be ridiculous. This is my friend who was a victim of robbery in Dataran Shah Alam yesterday at 4.30am)," Twitter user @ShafizahMS posted on her social media account with the image attached.

The user said that she was angry at the person who maliciously spread the image and false information as they had incited racial issues.

The image has since been deleted by the poster who made the fake claim.

有没有搞错哦???这班流氓简直不是人来的!连记者要去拍照都要被打!这些人的野蛮行为,简直是不可原谅!
