PEKAN - Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has vowed not to disappoint the people.
The Prime Minister said he would continue doing his best for the country and asked the people to not believe everything in the social media.
"The social media is just another channel to share the news."
"Not everything on social media can be swallowed whole.
"We cannot be the person who do not know how to make the right evaluation," he said at a buka puasa event at Felda Chini 5 here yesterday.
Najib added that the right evaluation was important as it could protect the peace and unity among the community.
On Felda Global Ventures' (FGV) plan to purchase Eagle High Plantations, Najib said the matter had to be studied carefully.
"We are not in a hurry. We will sign a memorandum of understanding first and only (buy) when all stakeholders agree and a third-party valuation is conducted," he added.
Najib also said it was necessary for FGV to find new alternatives as plantation land in Malaysia was becoming limited.
"The feasible alternative is Indonesia," he said.
"If we look to Africa, there is the threat of Boko Haram and South America is too far while in Cambodia, the climate is unsuitable."
