Pop star Scherzinger wings it with KFC dinner in JB

PETALING JAYA - Not even multi-platinum celebrities can resist the allure of Colonel Sanders' fried chicken.

For American pop star Nicole Scherzinger, the temptation of finger lickin' good KFC was too strong to resist, culminating in a visit to an outlet in Johor Baru for her fast food fix.

It is believed that the singer, who rose to fame as the lead vocalist of the girl group Pussycat Dolls, was in Malaysia to attend the royal wedding of Johor princess Tunku Tun Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah and Dennis Muhammad Abdullah at Istana Bukit Serene.

The 39-year-old, who is also a judge on X-Factor UK, a popular reality TV music competition, also uploaded several Instagram stories detailing her visit.

One Instagram story shows Scherzinger leaning against the counter in a sparkly plunge-neck jumpsuit as she contemplates her order.

As she walks out from the fast food outlet with both hands laden with KFC-filled plastic bags, the songstress turns towards the camera with a cheeky smile.

"In Malaysia, this just happened. Thank you for my police escorts, terima kasih," she laughs.

In the next Instagram story, Scherzinger says "oh my God" sheepishly when the camera focuses on her feasting on a piece of fried chicken in the back of a car, to which the voice of a male passenger can be heard asking a question: 'What've you got there?"

"Um, nothing, nothing," she replies, giggling while partially concealing the piece of fried chicken under the lid of the takeaway box.

Earlier, she had shared a snap of the royal palace lit up at night with the caption, "So picturesque!"

Prior to that, Scherzinger had also uploaded a picture of herself in a one-shoulder scarlet dress, accompanied with a crown emoji and red lip print in the caption: "Thank you for my dress for my performance tonight for the Royal Family. Lady in red."
