Racers find woman's body in ravine

GOMBAK - The decomposed body of a woman was found in a 15m-deep ravine along Jalan Gombak Lama that leads to Genting Sempah.

A group of cyclists participating in a road "ultramarathon" found the body at about 9am yesterday.

Her hands and legs were bound with tape. They had earlier noticed a stench, which led to the gruesome find.

The woman was believed to have been murdered three to four days ago. There was no identification document on the body.

A police officer at the scene estimated that the victim was between 35 and 40 years old. The body was sent to Hospital Kuala Lumpur for a post-mortem.
