Ramesh Rao admits to photo mistake in Lester Melyani video

Ramesh Rao Krishnan Naidu has admitted to mistakenly including a picture of a UK rail station manager in the second Lester Melyani video expose.

In the video, Lester claimed that the photo in the video was a web designer who was

one of the alleged accomplices in The Sarawak Report's alleged plot to falsify information about 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

However, Ramesh Rao, who heads Pertubuhan Minda dan Sosial Prihatin said he fully trusts the credibility of the former Sarawak Tribune editor despite the error.

He explained to reporters that he had searched on Google for a picture of the web designer Lester claimed was behind most of the fabricated emails and agreements, which Sarawak Report has been basing its articles against 1MDB on.

"I searched 'James Stephen' and 'UK IT expert' because he was part of the UK IT community," said Ramesh Rao.

He added that Lester had pointed to one of the pictures and identified Stephen.

"We used that in the video," he said.

However, this contradicts what the 49-year-old Lester told The Star on Tuesday.

Lester had claimed he did not know how the picture made it into the video, adding that "someone put it in".

In response, Ramesh said "Maybe I am wrong, maybe he is wrong. Lester's eye sight is not very good."

When pressed further, Ramesh said everything in it was all on Lester, as he just published it.
